The Indiana Holistic Center was founded by Beckie Kern in 1993 with a whole-being, holistic wellness philosophy, creating the first hospital-based massage and trauma therapy program at one of Indiana's largest hospitals, including: Neo-natal massage therapy; post-traumatic injury therapy; and pre- and post-transplant massage therapy for heart, liver, and kidney transplant patients. Beckie has studied with several surgeons, physicians, and doctors in rounds for clinical therapies, and brings her passion for quantum physics and how it relates to the awareness of the fascial system of the body, and the balancing of the energy field surrounding it, to the clinical aspects of her practice. Beckie regularly speaks with physician groups, as well as at wellness and holistic conferences. She is a Certified Myofascial Trauma Therapist, Upledger® Craniosacral Therapist, Reiki Master, Animal Reiki Master, Certified Equine Massage Therapist, Certified Hypnotherapist and EFT/NLP practitioner, Certified Sports Massage Therapist, Graston Technique practitioner, Certified Thai Massage practitioner, Certified Reflexologist, Certified Homeopathic practitioner, Certified Loomis System® practitioner, and is presently working toward several other programs. Before moving her practice to work with the musicians of The Indianapolis Symphony (and staff), and the International Violin Competition Indianapolis (IVCI), Beckie was the late Dale Earnhardt's therapist, and worked with most of the NASCAR series drivers and team members, as well as IndyCar/CART drivers, and many athletes of the professional sports teams in Indianapolis.
